In the south side of Lake Natron there is a potential chance to spot giraffes. Here they are living nearly all year around. The contrast between the animals and the dark volcanic slopes creates a powerful scene.

Photography Tips

Be quiet and slow in front of giraffes. Use a tele-zoom lens and a ground perspective for a great dynamic. Try to place the wildlife just in front of the volcano for a perfect match.

Travel Information

Just on a clear day you can see the volcano. Sometimes it is very dusty. Just go to that spot and check out the area together with a local guide. He can show you the best spots. Ask in your accommodation about the possibilities. Normally it is no problem to arrange something spontaneous.
