USA Whitefish Point Lighthouse
Whitefish Point marks the eastern end of an infamous 80-mile stretch of shoreline known as the Lake Superior Shipwreck Coast. Of the 550 known large shipwrecks that lie at the bottom of the lake, at least 200 are located near Whitefish Point. This is why there has been a lighthouse here since 1849.
