This is the view from the 42nd floor of the Loew's Regency Hotel toward the Transamerica Building and the San Francisco Bay. This is a view through the glass of the bridge between towers, but on the 40th floor there is an open air bar where you can take photos on certain days from 4-8PM.

Photography Tips

If you're inside the hotel, you'll need to use a dark cover to block reflections when shooting through the glass. If you get a chance to go out on the 40th floor open bar, you may not have the opportunity to set up a tripod given the crowds.
