Los Angeles is a big city in Southern California and is well-known for the country's film and television industry. Near the iconic Hollywood sign, studios such as Warner Brothers, Paramount Pictures, and Universal offer behind-the-scenes tours.
LA offers many great places for photography like Disney Concert Hall, Griffith Observatory, Santa Monica Beach or the entire downtown area. Hollywood Boulevard is nice to visit once but usually not the best place for photographers, which depends on what you want to take photos from though.
Compared to other cities in the US, Los Angeles is extremely spacious and having a (rental) car can definitely help a lot to get around the city. Parking is usually less of a problem than in other cities. Traveling to LA is probably best by plane via LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) or by car if you want to drive down the popular Route 1 from or towards San Francisco.
