Tips for your trip to Banff National Park

About the location

The park is a great place for every photographer, who is interested in nature and wildlife. There are quite some nice hikes too, but some of them are only available for groups of at least 4 people, because of the bears, that live in this region. Beside that, you might see wolves or wapitis, which is one of the largest elks in the deer family.

Traveling

Banff National Park is pretty easy to reach by car from Calgary or from Vancouver. The distances are extremely long though, so make sure to get an appartment very close to the region you want to visit or think about using multiple ones for your trip. Otherwise you will have to drive quite some time every morning and evening, which makes it harder to get good photos during sunrise or sunset.

The park has an entrance fee, which is free for 2017 because of Canada's 150th birthday.
