Actually the spot you have marked on the map is according to me not correct. It this spot which has the correct location: https://www.locationscout.net/united-kingdom/4994-old-man-of-storr-from-loch-leathan (google street view link: https://goo.gl/maps/okJUDcpfLW22)

Nope, I have checked and I can find the exact spot I stood to take the photo. The line from that spot between the trees and through the little island to the 'Old Man' lines up perfectly.

I looked at your web site Peter - nice landscapes. I am particularly interested in northern Italy and the Dolomites. It's on my bucket list :-)

strange because my shot of the 3 same boats are from Loch Fada beside the road, which is the lake south of this lake spot. Take a look at the road on the left, how close it is to the lake, it doesn't match this location, and there is only 1 house on this road (on the left of your picture)
